Then, he went to the jewelry shop, and the merchant said it is worth from twelve to fifteen thousand francs, but he couldn’t believe it. So, he went to another shop, and the merchant said that jewelry was from its shop, and he was willing to take it back for eighteen thousand. Lantin was shocked again because until that moment he was consider that was imitation. When he on his way home to go home, he thought repeatedly why his wife got that precious thing. Finally, he guessed his wife had another man outside. The next day, he went to the jewelry shop and get eighteen thousand. Then, he went home taking all the jewels to the shop , and sold all the precious things. So, he gained a lot of money. He no longer felt sadness. He spent much money on excellent wine and rare delicacies. He also spent the time with other ladies. After six months, he married again. Although his new wife was a virtuous woman, but had a bad temper, she caused him much sorrow.
